So You Want To Get Baptized...

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are ready to be baptized! The Bible teaches that baptism demonstrates we have received God's grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin and confessing Christ. Just like a bride and groom demonstrate their shared love for one another by wearing wedding bands, your baptism is your opportunity to show others that you have accepted Christ and have a relationship with Him.

It is not only a symbol that you are committed to Christ, but it also represents the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who have been baptized in a form other than total immersion, such as christening or dedication, are immersed to become members of Connection Pointe.

Information for parents...

First, we would like to say, "Congratulations" to your student for taking that big step to accept Christ as their personal Savior. Now the next step is letting others know about it through getting baptized. We are both honored and thrilled to walk alongside your student as they take this next step of baptism. If your student is interested, here are the steps to follow:

1. Let their small group leader and a pastor leader know.
2. Their small group leader and/or pastor will then set up a time with your student to talk about baptism.
3. Upon speaking with the students, a baptism can be scheduled by contacting Brooke Gilbert.
4. Baptisms happen in the Worship Center, so the other students and parents get to watch.
5. Baptisms can happen whenever.
6. We will schedule shooting their baptism video about 2 - 3 weeks after the baptism.

We will make sure that you and your student are both well informed on what you need to do, and when everything will occur. Again, we are excited to be a part of this special time in your student's life.
